Those plump little beads are so delicate they'll drop off if you so much as give the plant a stern look — which is actually the plant's whole survival strategy: fallen leaves can root and grow into new plants, so it's basically reproducing by shedding. Native to cliffsides in Mexico and Honduras, it's built to trail dramatically for years, storing water in every bead like a tiny, chubby camel. Handle with a light touch and give it bright light — it's tougher than it looks, just don't manhandle it.
